Katherine “Kathy” Doliner, 68, of Holliston, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Marie (Prenter) and Francis Blackmore. She was the wife of over 42 years to Harlan Doliner.A proud graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Kathy began her career in fashion, working as a merchandiser and buyer for Jordan Marsh, then Macy’s in Boston, traveling to Europe on the companies’ behalf. Kathy and Harlan met at a Halloween party—a moment that sparked a beautiful life together highlighted by their mutual love for the ocean, travel, learning, dogs and – most of all – for their son Ryan. When Ryan was young, Kathy worked as a paraprofessional in the Holliston School System, supporting children with special needs. She had also been an active member of the Holliston PTO and taught CCD classes at Saint Mary’s Church. A lifelong avid reader, it was a dream fulfilled when she began volunteering at the Holliston Public Library, eventually becoming a beloved member of the library staff. She cherished the opportunity to share her love of books and learning with the community. She was also involved in her cherished Holliston book group throughout the years. Kathy also found peace and joy through yoga, being a regular presence at the Prana Center Yoga Studio in Holliston. Her greatest joy, however, was the couple of days each week when Kathy would spend extensive time on adventures encountered in caring for her cherished, four year old granddaughter Charlotte.In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by her son, Ryan Doliner, his wife, Chelsea, and her precious granddaughter Charlotte of Acton. She also leaves behind two sisters, Patricia Moore and her partner, Kevin Conklin of Middletown, NY, and Teresa Trainer and her husband, Dyson,of Little River, SC; her nieces and nephews, Kyle, Meghan, Samantha and Daniel, and numerous cousins.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
