Deidre Louise Rowles, 86, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025. Born in Arlington, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mary Dorice (Storey) and Thadeus Sheahan. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Paul Rowles.A cherished member of the Holliston community, Deidre was known for her warmth, energy, and enduring commitment to the town she loved. In her younger years, she was actively involved in the Holliston Newcomers, Bridge, and Women’s Clubs. She took great pride in being a founding member of the Holliston Youth Softball and Cheerleading programs. She dedicated countless hours to supporting the local schools through her involvement in the PTA and Boosters. A woman of deep faith, Deidre was a devoted member of Saint Mary’s Church in Holliston, where she served as a CCD teacher for many years. Her professional life as a travel agent gave her the opportunity to see the world, but her heart was always at home with her family and community.Deidre leaves behind her five children, Paul Rowles and his wife, Pamela, of Holliston; Heather McKenzie and her husband, Michael, of Duxbury; Bethany Doherty, her husband, John, of Braintree; Tanya Rowles—Dyer and her late husband, George, of Vicenza, Italy; Nichole Camp, and her husband, Cyrus, of Agawam. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Falvey, of Holliston; grandchildren, Michael, Colin, Alexander and Madison McKenzie, Taylor Plumb, Drew, Jack and Ava Doherty and Oliver, and Ireland Camp. She had three great-grandchildren, Everly, Michael, and Liam McKenzie, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Maureen McHugh.Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will follow at 11 AM at Saint Mary’s Church of Holliston with a burial in the parish cemetery.
