Rev. Dr. Earle H. Bergmann

Rev. Dr. Earle H. Bergmann, 87, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Born in Lawrence, he was the dear son of the late Audrey (Cann) and Howard A. Bergmann.

Earle went to Melrose High School and Northeastern University. In 1980, he joyfully became ordained at Topsfield Congregational Church. With a Master’s in Education from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO, and a Doctorate of Ministry earned in 2001, Earle dedicated himself to both learning and teaching. He served as a pastor at various churches across Massachusetts and Maine, touching many lives with his unwavering support, kind heart, and wisdom. Earle’s commitment to charitable activities was truly motivational; he worked tirelessly to improve lives, foster education, and promote inclusivity within the community. His legacy of compassion and dedication continues to inspire those who strive to carry on his mission of kindness and service.

Outside of his ministry, Earle enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved classical music, playing the piano, and enjoying pop music. He also found immense joy in capturing beautiful moments through photography.

Earle is fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Anastasia Bergmann of Holliston, and two grandchildren, Alexander and Ariana Bergmann. He joins his beloved son, Daniel John Bergmann, and his brother, Donald J. Bergmann, in eternal peace.

Funeral services are being held privately under the tender care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
