Mr. McGrath served in the US Navy during World War II and was a graduate of Northeastern University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout his career, Mr. McGrath designed and inspected industrial fire alarm systems until his retirement in1989. He enjoyed golf and was a 50 year parishioner at St. Mary’s Church in Holliston. He is survived by his children, Thomas R. McGrath of Methuen, Dr. Susan C. Schapiro of Cincinnati, OH and Jane E. Nowak of Tewksbury and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 5-8pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. Holliston. A funeral home prayer service will be held on Friday, December 5th at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472 or alz.org |
