Go Over the Bourne Bridge – at the base of the Bridge there is a rotary – go ? way around onto Rt. 28 South towards Falmouth Continue on Rt. 28 south approximately 4 miles to a second rotary. Go ? around the rotary – You will see a sign for Massachusetts Military Reservation Exit the rotary at this point. Travel approximately ? mile up the road and the cemetery entrance will be on the right side The cars will line up in one of the three lanes on the right side of the entrance road. Do Not pull up prior to 12:20 – you may be in line with another funeral or block those arriving for other funerals. Please be early rather than late. If you arrive early you can drive around the cemetery to use the facilities, view the grounds, etc? |
Edna Louise Stanton, 84, of Holliston and a longtime former resident of Waltham, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Dowling) Hartlen. She was the wife of Anthony H. Stanton of Holliston. Edna was devoted to her family and was an artist and baker who used her skills to create paintings and many bridal and shower cakes. Besides her husband of 60 years, she is survived by her children, Cpt. William M. Stanton of Lincoln, Matthew E. Stanton and his wife Mary Jo of Reading, Brian P. Stanton and his wife Kathleen of Lynnfield, Catherine “Kit” S. Chaisson and her husband William of Holliston and Timothy J. Stanton and his wife Rachael of Leominster. She will be especially missed by her 11 grandchildren; Andrea, Stephen, Daniel, Michael, Matthew, Katie, Sarah, Christopher, Adrian, Jessica and Victoria; as well as one great-grandchild Emelia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 4-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00a.m. on Friday, August 12th at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will be held on Monday, August 15th at 12:45p.m. at Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
