Jean C. Rooney, 72, of Holliston died Saturday night, October 18, 2003 at the Metrowest Medical Center of Natick. Born in Holliston she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie McHeffey. She is the wife of Robert R. Rooney of Holliston

Jean a devoted wife, mother and grandmother had been a medical secretary for the V.A. Hospital in Roxbury for 4 years and also at the Framingham Union Hospital for a few years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, Holliston Dry Cleaning.

Besides her husband of 49 years she is survived by 2 sons; Paul Robert Rooney of Swansea, MA, Brian Joseph Rooney of Holliston, 1 daughter; Leslie Anne Germond of Holden, 1 Brother; Glenn McHeffey of Poway, California and 3 grandchildren; Erin Rooney, Jennifer Rooney, and Cameron Germond. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

There will be private visitation hours for the family. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church on High St. in Holliston on Thursday October 23, 2003 at 11 am. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery of Holliston. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
