I was sorry to learn of Bill's passing today. We played golf together at Glen Ellen and Maplegate and he was always the best dressed. We have missed him very much this year. I remember how thrilled he was to have a birdie last year. He played in rain and cold and even with a walking boot! He only missed golf when he was working on kids issues.

I am proud to have been a friend of Mr. Robinson. A banking pioneer, music lover, champion of civil rights and a gentle, caring man. Rest In Peace, Bill. Walter Paal

I learned of Bill's passing at the Millis Mens Golf League today 8/12/20/. If first met Bill at least twenty years ago when we were paired as singles at Saddle Hill Country Club and invited him to join the Millis Men's league. Bill and i discovered we had a mutual love (jazz) and a mutual hate (prisons). One the years I had the opportunity to work with him on several lobbying efforts to halt the incarceration of non-violent juveniles. Bill was a great golf companion and a wonderful friend. Though 17 years his junior I was unable to play in the league this year but was happy to greet him and exchange a few words with him back in June. A brilliant man with a big heart. I will miss his presence. My condolences to all his family and everyone who loved him.

Bill and I worked together on the Framingham Human Relations Commission, one of so many human rights organizations to which he devoted endless hours. He was always "running in" from a meeting of the NAACP or from hours spent at the State House working on bills to improve conditions in schools, in housing, or in prisons. It was my great pleasure to have known him.

It was a privilege knowing Bill at the Willows. Always the consummate gentleman and a wealth of knowledge about jazz music. I will miss those conversations. God speed, Bill.

I am sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I have known him since he moved to the Willows in Westborough and used to be in a dinner group with him. We both enjoyed Monday morning expeditions with the Walking Club when we went to nearby places to walk along those trails. Always well-dressed and listening to music on his phone, he was a definite presence here. At our Friday afternoon Social Hours, he enjoyed the music and frequently joined the dancing. A few years ago, he encouraged our Director of Resident Services to bring a group of us to Ryles in Cambridge to enjoy the music and food. That was a lot of fun. Gentleman that he was, he asked each female in our group to dance! May he rest in peace.

Our family had the same ski week as the Robinsons at Loon Mountain. Although we lived in the same home town, Holliston, our paths rarely crossed except in late January at Loon Mountain. I got a chance to chat with Bill frequently on the shuttle bus to the mountain. He was a true gentleman and outstanding skier. Rest In Peace Mr Robinson.

Sincere condolences on the Homegoing of Bill. Bill was a longtime friend who I met through his beloved late wife, Zelean Hill Robinson, who was my childhood friend from about the age of 11 or 12. As young married couples, there were 4 couples, we spent weekends together playing bid whist and having lots of fun. There are many fond memories and the most memorable were our times together each winter at the Robinson ski lodge in Loon Mountain, NH. Back in the day, Bill was quite the dancer. His favorite dance was the Philly Slop. I can see his long, gangly legs slopping across the dance floor. Bill was passionate about his golfing, skiing and his work with the NAACP. Rest in eternal peace Bill and thanks for the good times and your hospitality.
