Rita M. Mckeown, 88, of Framingham, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 in Wakefield, RI at her daughter’s home. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Helen M. (Morse) Parkhurst. She was also the wife of the late Henry J. Mckeown who passed away in 1997.

A long time resident of Framingham, she recently moved to Wakefield, RI., to be with her daughter for the last year and a half. She was an original member of the Framingham Heart Study and enjoyed traveling and the Red Sox.

She is survived by 1 son, Richard Mckeown and his wife Gail of Holliston, 1 daughter, Betty “Mac” Mckeown of Wakefield, RI, 5 grandchildren, Michael and Keith Mckeown, Julie, Gregory, and Jeff MacMullen. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren and a sister in law, Sister Mary Mckeown of the Bethany Convent in Framingham. She is predeceased by 1 grandchild, Brian MacMullen, 2 brothers, Charles and Vernon Parkhurst, 2 sisters, Bertha Caplette and Mary Davidson.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 from 5-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington (RT. 126). www.chesmorefuneralhome.com A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 17, at 10:30a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham.
