Mary Patricia Camilleri, 91, of Holliston, passed away on March 9, 2025. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Laura and Harold Christensen. She was the wife of 63 years to the late Victor Francis Camilleri.
Mary was a graduate of the Mount St. Joseph’s Academy of West Hartford, CT. (1952), a Roman Catholic School for girls. She was a charter member of the St. Mark Fife & Drum Corps. as a fifer during her years with the Fife & Drum Corps. She enjoyed many summers at her parents’ cottage at Sound View Beach in Old Lyme, CT, spending time sunbathing and swimming with her sorority sisters. As luck would have it, she would meet her future husband at Sound View beach. She was later employed at the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company. In 1954, they were engaged and married and later moved to Massachusetts, where her husband worked at Raytheon Corporation. Eventually they would have their own cottage in Dennisport, Cape Cod, entertaining their children and grandchildren with summer cookouts and celebrations. She was an avid reader, and loved playing cards with her family. She worked in the kitchen at Holliston High School for many years, and was a member of Saint Mary’s Parish and Couple’s Club.
Mary is survived by five children, Victor Camilleri Jr. of Framingham, Mark Camilleri and his wife, Linda, of The Villages, FL, Lynn Allen and Stephen Altimas of Mashpee, Scott Camilleri and his wife, Tracey, of Clinton, and David Camilleri and his wife, Kristyn, of Milford. She also leaves behind a loving sister-in-law, Anna Maria Fornino of Newington, CT; seven grandchildren, Jillian, Jenna, Ryan, Kyle, Kaila, Alyssa, and Evan; as well as 6 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister, Carol Ring and her granddaughter, Erin Camilleri.
