Holliston – Mary f. Olsson, 82, died Friday, April 23, 2004 at the University of
Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester.
She was the wife of the late John H. Olsson who died in 1998.
Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Lucy (Prior) Farrell.
She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served in W.W.II.
A resident of Holliston since 1964, she was formerly of Brimfield, MA. Mrs. Olsson had
worked with her son in the Olsson Florist Shop in Holliston, had been a secretary for
Christ Episcopal Church of Medway Sunday School and was a member of the church
choir. She had worked for Roman’s and Lohman’s stores in Natick. In her younger days
she had been a dental hygienist.
Mrs. Olsson is survived by her son, Rev. John H. Olsson, III of New Foundland; a brother,
Richard Farrell of CT; two sisters, Anita Claire of CT and Ollie Hodson of CA and several
nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Monday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church,
16 School St., Medway. The Rev. Margaret Quill will officiate. Calling hours will be held
at the church, prior to the funeral service from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
