Many prayers from the Butler Family. Mom and Dad from Ft. Lauderdale send love and prayers

Posted by ken butler on November 24, 2013

My thoughts and condolences are with the whole LeBlanc family...as you celebrate Big Lou's full and long life. After spending so much time with Melinda at UMass, I always felt welcomed into the LeBlanc home like family by Lou and Pat. I am really going to miss his dry wit...and his concerning fatherly queries "what are you up to now Brenda??" I have many fond memories of chatting with Lou over dinner (preferably lobster)...or seated in his favorite chair in the den... discussing life events or the news of the day. I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know Lou and he will surely be missed. I wish I could be there to celebrate his life...I'm sending my prayers to Pat, Mel, Louis, and Teddy from DC.

I was lucky to have grown up across the street from the LeBlancs. When I went to knock on the door to see if Melinda could "come out to play," Lou would answer the door with that stern look and ask me, "what do want Goudreault?" But what at first appeared as an intimidating authority figure, I soon came to know as a big-hearted teddy-bear that loved us all. I was so blessed to be welcomed into his home over the years and become close to his family, especially his children of whom he was clearly so proud. Lou, you will be missed and in our hearts and memories forever.

I'll never forget how Mr. LeBlanc or "Big Lou" as we knew him was always near the back of Saint Theresa's (the old church, not the new one) when we would sometimes sneak in late. He would give us "the stern look" always followed by a big smile and a friendly tug on the arm. He was a good man and he will truly be missed. - youngest Hand boy.
