Holliston-

Loring Phipps Lovewell, 95, a lifelong Holliston resident, passed away August 4, 2015. Born in Holliston, he was the son of the late Bertha (Phipps) and Charles Walter Lovewell. He was the husband of 73 years to the late Ruth Bray Lovewell who passed away in September 2014.

Loring was a former selectman for the Town of Holliston for 15 years. He was also a long time member of the Holliston Fire Department and was also a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his children, John Lovewell of Holliston, George Lovewell and his wife Joyce of Hopedale, Edith MacLeod of Prince Edward Island, Canada, Laurianne Wills of Holliston; 5 grandchildren, Jake, Judy, Herb, Jeff and Andy as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 22nd at 2:00p.m. at Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
