Holliston-
Lawrence S. Porter, 84, of Holliston, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at
the VA Hospital in West Roxbury. Born in Holliston, he was the son of the
late Harold C. and Ruth (Snell) Porter. He was also the husband of the
late Dorothy M. (Wardell) Porter who passed in 1997.

A Technical Sargeant in the US Army during WWII, he was also an EX-POW. He
was a past American Legion Commander in the 1950’s. A lifelong resident of
Holliston, he was the founder and owner of the Depot Package Store in
Holliston.

He is survived by 3 sons, Bruce R. Porter and his wife Janet of Epsom,
N.H, Paul D. Porter and his wife Jan of Upton, and J.L. Porter of
Holliston, 3 grandchildren, Brian, Jaclyn, and Robert. He is pre-deceased
by a sister, Amy Blanchard.

There will be a private memorial service. Arrangements are under the
direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
