John Joseph Dwyer Jr., 60, of Holliston, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Milford Regional Medical Center from a brief illness. He was the husband to Kathleen (Forrester) Dwyer, to whom he married in 1993. 

John was a devoted father, and is survived by his son, Erik John Dwyer of Holliston and his girlfriend, Jenna Parks of Shrewsbury. John was born in Chelsea; he was the son of John Joseph Dwyer of North Fort Myers, FL and the late Marie (Wilhoite) Dwyer.  

 John and Kathie moved to Holliston from Allston in 1993. For 27 years, John worked for Barrell Heating and Plumbing in Cambridge, starting in December 1997. He was known for his strong work ethic, and his easy-going nature made him well-liked. He had many beloved friends. John enjoyed boating with his family and friends from Safe Harbor Greenwich Bay Warwick, RI.  He was also an avid Bruins fan, and he loved to go to the games with his son Erik any opportunity he had. Also survived by his sisters-in-law, Susan Lipsett and husband, Rick, of Walpole, Karyn McCarthy and husband, Oisin, of Walpole; mother-in-law, Rita Forrester of Walpole and brother-in-law, Henry Donabedian of Methuen; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister, Jean Donabedian, father-in-law, William Forrester and brother-in-law, William Forrester.  

Private family services are being held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John Dwyer, Jr. to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, dana-farber.org
