I'm just learning of the passing of Mr. Heavner. I used to deliver his meals at Mission Springs with Meals on Wheels and he was always a consummate gentleman. Many times I discussed his baseball career and yes, I did hear the story about that guitar. My condolences to the family, my impression is his life was well lived.

To all the Heavner family....we are so saddened to hear of Goff’s passing. In the early days of his visits to the shop, he would always give investment advice, which ended up being spot on! He always had a great story and forever a gentleman. We hope that in his last days, he was still able to play cards with you, Scott. The memories that you all have will remain with you forever.
