Gloria A. Handt, 90, of Holliston, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Born in Fulton, New York, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Guyer) and Alonzo Hazard. She was the wife of 62 years to Richard Handt, her soulmate who passed away in 2013.

For 23 years, Gloria could be found at her happy place…. the Robert Adams Middle School in Holliston. She loved her job as a monitor in the lunchroom, hallways and parking lot during dismissal time. She ran a tight ship and loved the children like her own. Her most cherished life’s work was her role as a mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother.

Gloria is survived by two daughters, Lonna Marinaro of Holliston, and Nancy Gavin Caron of Palm Bay, FL. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Anthony and Nicole Marinaro, Matthew Gavin, Gregory Thompson and Danielle Sheldon; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Tracy Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2nd from 4-7pm at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org
