Holliston-
Edward T. Davitt, 79, of Holliston, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the
Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Framingham, he was the son of
the late Edward T. and Mary (Cavanaugh) Davitt. He was the husband to
Eleanor (Graham) Davitt of Holliston.

A self employed electrical contractor, he was a Navy Veteran in the Korean
Conflict and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus in Ashland. He
lived for his family and was an avid Patriots fan.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by 1 son, Stephen P. Davitt
and his close friend Mary Ann Mankins of California. 2 daughters, Cheryl
DeLage and her husband Neal of Hebron, N.H., and Lisa Caviasca and her
husband Frank of Taunton. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Jennifer,
Stephen E., Ryan, Amber, Jimmy, Dillon, as well as 3 great grandchildren,
Devon, Emmanuel, and Stephen R. He is predeceased by a sister, Frances
Babuka of Framingham.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 6 from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore
Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 10:00a.m. at the St.
Joseph’s Church in Medway. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liver Foundation, 88
