I'm saddened to hear of Mr. King's passing. To Lorraine and his children - he was a wonderful teacher - I was among many students who was fortunate to take both biology I and II with him in the late 1970s. He was kind, and patient, with that dry, upstate NY sense of humor. He could read his students well. Sending my deepest sympathies.

I looked forward to Mr King’s weekly visit. Definitely one of my favorite customers. My sincere condolences to his family so sorry for your loss Mrs King. He was a true gentleman.

I was saddened to see this obituary online. Mr. King was a teacher of mine at Dover-Sherborn many years ago. We certainly never realize how passionate our teachers were about teaching until we read about it much later in life. Extending my sympathy to his entire family.

Earl was a fantastic and inspiring Adult Faith Formation Teacher at St. Mary's Church in Holliston. I attended all of his Classes for the last 10 years or more or Monday nights, and I never missed his Fall and Lenten Sessions. He was a huge influence on my own Faith Journey. Not having Earl in my Life will leave a huge hole. I know that he will be greatly missed by all of his St. Mary's Students. I liked to tell Earl that we were his " Fan Club." I am now the only Member of my Family who attends Mass at a Catholic Church. I have over 30 Relatives who have continued to distance themselves further away from our Catholic Faith, and this has left me quite alone as far as my Family is concerned. It is a lonely place to find yourself. However, after meeting Earl and all the other great people at St. Mary's - I found a warm and welcoming Home that has made a huge difference in my Life. Earl's passing will certainly be another difficult loss for me. I hope that his dear Wife and Siblings will find comfort in the fact that Earl meant so much to me and to all of his Students.
