David was taken much to soon. My heart goes out to Sue, Carly and Trevor. Also to Billy, Doreen and Lorna. Walking in last night to say goodbye, you could immediately feel the love for David and his family. Watch a beautiful tribute of pictures of his life and hear the stories of him. He will be deeply missed by all. RIP David

I worked with Dave Martin for a few years in Acton. He was an amazing guy. really funny and extremely smart. He would beam with pride when talking about his children. his alvarez guitar, his "no thrills" ford ranger and our favorite musicians were some of the most enjoyable conversations i've eve had and will treasure forever. goodbye my good friend

Billy, Doreen, Lorna, Sue & Family, I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts. David was a great guy and a lot of fun to be around. I have so many wonderful memories of all of us being together at the family cookouts. Even though I am not around much I have been able to spend a little time with him over the past couple of years. He hadn't changed. I loved giving him a hard time. Curt, the girls and I send you our thoughts and prayers. Love Denise

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss to your family. Although it has been many years since I have enjoyed all the kids on lakeshore drive, I do remember David. We all shared a wonderful neighborhood, we were like family! Every day at one time or another we all saw each other. David was a very good kid, and I am sure a very good man. I'm very sorry for this great loss to the Martin family. Billy, Doreen, and Lonna, I am sorry that I am unable to attend David's services, to show my respects. However, please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

It's tough to lose a lake kid at such a young age and it's very sobering. I'm so sorry for Sue and the kids, but I know that they are strong and they will be ok, because Sue is the best. My condolences to the family and we'll never forget the quiet, shy kid from Lake Shore and the class of '79, rest in peace Dave.

So sad to hear of this great loss. Always will remember David for his strength, fairness, great sense of humor, and how proud he was of his family. He didn't sweat the small things. I will also remember some of the good times I had with David-like playing Pitch with David, Billy and Bob, his cooking at the porkettas, and all the teasing he did of my Mom. He is finally at peace. There are no words I can say that will make it better for all of you who loved him , but please know I am sending my thoughts and prayers to you at this difficult time.
